14 Public Hearing on UNDRIP with Joshua Nichols

The Special Committee on Reconciliation and Indigenous Affairs, chaired by Ms. Lesa Semmler, will hold a public hearing regarding the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 1:00PM.

The presenter is Dr. Joshua Nichols of McGill University’s faculty of law. His latest research focused on the relationship between the meaning of reconciliation, indigenous self-government and the future of federalism in Canada.

The presenter is Dr. Brenda L. Gunn, Associate Professor at the Robson Hall Faculty of Law, University of Manitoba. Her current research focuses on promoting greater conformity between international law on the rights of Indigenous peoples and domestic law.
