Public Briefing: GNWT’s progress made on Calls for Justice identified in MMIWG Inquiry

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:30AM, the Standing Committee on Social Development, chaired by Ms. Caitlin Cleveland, will hold a public briefing regarding the GNWT’s work to address the Calls for Justice presented in the final report of the national inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

The Committee will hear from the Honourable Caroline Wawzonek, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, and Ms. Elizabeth (Sabet) Biscaye, Director, Gender Equity Division. The briefing will focus on the status of the What We Heard Report on engagement and work toward the action plan.
