The Standing Committee on Economic Development and Environment, chaired by Jackie Jacobson, will hold a public clause-by-clause review of Bill 3: An Act to Amend the Public Highways Act on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 12:00PM.

This Bill amends the Public Highways Act to make it clear that the Government of the Northwest Territories is required to maintain primary highways and is liable if they fail to do so.  It also clarifies that the Government is not required to maintain other roadways and is not liable for roads other than primary highways.
