Public Hearing on Yukon First Nation Procurement Policy

The Standing Committee on Economic Development and Environment, chaired by Mr. Jackie Jacobson, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:00AM on the topic of the Yukon First Nation Procurement Policy.

The Committee will hear from Mr. Albert Drapeau, Executive Director, Yukon First Nation Chamber of Commerce, followed by Amos Westropp, Principal Consultant, Westropp Management Consulting.

The Committee is holding this meeting to gain information about how other jurisdictions handle procurement policies. The Committee considers it a priority to explore ways to increase the responsiveness of GNWT policies and services to stimulate and diversify northern and in particular Indigenous businesses.
