YELLOWKNIFE (October 25th, 2019) – The Caucus of the 19th Legislative Assembly concluded a significant phase of its strategic planning by reaching agreement on its priorities for action.

Caucus Chair Rylund Johnson says, “I am excited to being working with all Members of the 19th Assembly in the spirit of consensus and collaboration.”

Caucus Deputy Chair, Kevin O’Reilly, adds, “This is my second term serving as Deputy Chair of Caucus, I look forward to continuing to have positive relationships with all of the Members, new and returning.”

The next step in the strategic planning process begins immediately. The government will use the priorities document to produce a mandate document, a four-year business plan, as well as the first and subsequent budgets for the Government of the Northwest Territories.

Members of the Legislative Assembly anticipate reviewing the first draft of the  mandate in November 2019.

“We are ready to hit the ground running, now the real work begins,” says Rylund Johnson.

The priorities document is attached and is available on the Legislative Assembly’s website at www.assembly.gov.nt.ca.
