Release of Workplace Investigation Report

YELLOWKNIFE (September 27, 2021) - Today, the Hon. Frederick Blake Jr., Speaker of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly, released a redacted version of the final report of the Workplace Investigation conducted into the Office of the Clerk.

In the winter of 2021, four complainants raised specific allegations relating to the conduct of the Clerk, Mr. Tim Mercer. The Workplace Investigation completed by Quintet Consulting concluded that the allegations submitted by three complainants were considered unfounded, while the fourth complainant’s allegations were considered founded.

The Workplace Investigation Report, which was completed in accordance with the Terms of Reference with Quintet Consulting, summarizes the evidence gathered and contains analysis, findings, and conclusions relating to the allegations raised in the written complaints. The report is redacted consistent with the principles of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act to respect the privacy of participants and third parties.
