Standing Committee on Social Development Virtual Public Engagement for the One Spirit Unity Run
 
YELLOWKNIFE (Tuesday, April 18, 2023) – The Standing Committee on Social Development, chaired by Caitlin Cleveland, is holding a public virtual engagement showcasing the One Spirit Unity Run on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 1:00PM in Eagle Room of the Legislative Assembly building.
 
Presenters will be virtual from Ottawa.
 
The One Spirit Unity Run is an event led by Indigenous people and supported by the RCMP. The event involves a walk/run to promote unity and mend relationships with the RCMP. Its purpose is to bring together First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities with all Canadians in a safe and welcoming space. It also aims to raise awareness and draw attention to the cause.
 
The public and members of the media are welcome to attend the meeting. The meeting will also be broadcast live and can be viewed by tuning in to the LATV network, watching on ntassembly.ca, or by watching on the Assembly’s Facebook, YouTube or Twitter channels.
